Unearth A Story
For the Library's 2026 Summer Reading Club, the Foundation took the theme of "Unearth a Story" to blockbuster heights. Inspired by Jurassic Park, this cinematic two-minute parody brought Leo the Lion and his Foundation Friends face-to-face with prehistoric adventure, transforming the year's theme into a community-wide marketing campaign. From social media to the big screen, the campaign generated excitement across Whittier and helped drive record enthusiasm for the program—culminating in more than 1,000 readers celebrating together at the Summer Reading Club finale.

The Gates
To extend the adventure beyond the screen, the Foundation transformed the Library's LED archway into the iconic Jurassic Park gates. Complete with lush jungle foliage, flickering fire effects, and seamless day-to-night transitions, the installation welcomed visitors into a prehistoric world. And those who attended the Summer Reading Club Party were greeted by Leo the Lion in-person.
