March 17 @ 6:00 pm
Celebrate Women’s History Month with the Reel Club! Join us on March 17 at 6 PM at the Central Library (7344 Washington Ave) for a special screening of PBS American Masters: Becoming Helen Keller.
We chose this film to honor Helen Keller, not just as a historical figure, but as a trailblazing activist for women’s rights, disability rights, and social justice. This documentary goes beyond the familiar story to explore her lifelong advocacy for women, workers, people with disabilities, and those living in poverty. Featuring rare archival footage and expert insights, Becoming Helen Keller sheds new light on her complex and inspiring legacy.
